02Social security rates: PwC Worldwide Tax Summaries, OECD Taxing Wages, KPMG Thinking Beyond Borders

Tax calculations use real progressive brackets where a country has them, status-specific rates where residence or permit type changes the rate (for example a digital-nomad permit versus local employment), and flat rates where one applies. Employee and self-employed social security are treated separately, with contribution ceilings applied where they exist. Some countries set social security through fixed contribution categories or a city-specific basis rather than a simple percentage of income; in those cases a representative basis is used. Figures are reviewed and refreshed regularly. This is a planning estimate, not tax advice.
